(OoC; This is the Prologue)
The story goes: It was a misty May morning in a park just outside a small town in Oregon, the park was subject to the ever growing population of it's neighboring town. Every so often, if you were to walk in this park, you would find a Mc Donald’s drink cup or a grocery store bag. Thou, deep within this park it lay almost untouched do to the lack of people interested in the environment or even going outside, other than that, it was a very beautiful place, however, fifteen years ago, there were spots stained a crimson red in this very same park.
On this morning, an action would change the life of two souls; one human, one something else.
Sitting on the ground, panting heavily was a small girl, looking to be twelve or thirteen, you couldn't tell. She had cotton-candy-pink hair that went just past her ears and bright eyes that shone like the blue of the sky, and even thou you couldn't see the sky with all the fog and mist, you could see the fear brewing in her eyes.
Her thin arms and legs seemed to be scratched up in a way that she could not have done herself unless this seemingly innocent looking girl turned out to be a mastacistic teen with issues, which, by the way, could explain her crazy hair. Her strange clothes seemed to be torn and soaked in the blood of her wounds as she started to fidget and shake in terror.
She sat there for a long while, not doing anything, just sitting there and forcing her lungs to breath, but it was not long enough for her. It wasn’t late before she started to calm down; her breathing slowed and became deeper as her adrenalin ran out. Soon the snapping of thin, weak, and brittle branches of the trees above woke her from her false sense of calm.
She stumbled as she struggled to get up. After she got in control of her motor skills, she began to run. Running faster than any human girl you would ever get to see in your life. As her speed increased, her eyes became that of a cats’. Soon, her entire body began to shrink and finally got so distorted it took the shape of an animal. Within a few more seconds, she had the body to match her new eyes; she was now this plain-Jane, garden-variety house cat. The girl with cotton-candy-hair and sky eyes was a real, live, shape-shifter. With her mind focused on changing and running, she didn’t have much concentration left to react as she ran out onto a busy road.
And so begins the journey. A journey of fear, hate, freedom and the life of a boy with his cotton-candy-haired cat.
